Experience
I got into design because I have always sat somewhere between logic and creativity. I studied molecular biology at U of T, so I spent years learning how to break complex systems apart and understand how they work. After that I ended up in regulatory consulting, where I was the go-to person for clients dealing with complicated processes. That taught me how to listen, simplify, and figure out what people actually need. Product design felt like where all of that came together. I care about how things work just as much as how they look, and I think the best products come from understanding both.
